Conference Excursion

Dear colleagues, participants in ESEE2017

Join us on a full day conference excursion on Thursday, July the 6th, 2017 to visit local farms and industries around the western part of Crete.

Three different excursion options are offered to all ESEE participants who will select one option when registering.

Please note that all trips will depart from the MAICh Conference Centre.

1st option

Participants will visit a local mixed farm focusing on the organic cultivation of avocado, citrus and olive trees (www.metochi-kalliteraki.gr/). The excursion will continue with a guided tour in Anoskeli Olive mill and Winery (www.anoskeli.gr/en) and will close with a visit to Falassarna beach for lunch, swimming and relaxation.

(Maximum number of participants: 50)

2nd option

In this trip, the first stop will be at a local farm with avocado, olive trees and vineyards. Following, participants will be guided through the local brewery “Charma” (www.cretanbeer.gr/en/) and finally they will arrive at Falassarna beach for lunch, swimming and relaxation. 

(Maximum number of participants: 40)

3rd option

In this option, participants will have the opportunity to explore three different local industries in the agro-food sector. Guided tours will be offered to Balantinos cheese-making plant (www.balantinos.gr/en/home/), Terra Creta Olive mill (www.terracreta.gr) and Pneumatikakis winery (http://cretanwinery.com/). The last stop will be also at the Falassarna beach for lunch, swimming and relaxation.
